1. We inspect the damage to make sure the crack is less than 6”.
2. If we could repair the damage depending on the temperature we either heat or cool the windshield. (Glass is very fragile extreme care must be taken when any repair is done).
3. We inject a patented urethane based resin into the damage. Very important!! Depending the age of the damage, it plays a large role on how clear the repair comes out. The older the damage the more debris and impurities get in.
4. While we’re doing the repair heat and pressure are usually applied during a repair. There are times when black specs show up in the repair. This could be from trapped air or dirt. We try our best to get out as much as possible. Our vacuum pulls out 10 lbs. of air. We then inject our resin 5 lbs. of pressure. We repeat the process to get our best result.
5. After the repair is ready we then cure the chip. We use a curing lamp that puts out 7 times more UV than the sun.
6. When the repair is done we scrape off the excess and It’s done. A typical repair will last as long as the car.
